QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Must have Matric Certificate - Grade 12

Valid EC drivers licence

Minimum of 5 years experience in a busy workshop environment on maintaining and servicing a transport fleet.

VOLVO/MERCEDES/UD/SCANIA/PALFINGER/HIAB/AFRIT

Relevant trade test (e.g., Red Seal in Diesel Mechanic)

Will be required to present proof of relevant qualification.

Excellent communication skills Afrikaans and English.

Ability To Prioritise Issues, Work Efficiently, Independently and Complete Actions.

SKILLS:

Taking full responsibility on total aspects of the transport fleet.

Must be able to solve issues and create value to our fleet.

Highly organized dedicated and committed.

Punctual with admin on fleet.

Strong understanding of mechanical, auto electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Welding, spray painting, and minor panel beating.

Able to work as part of and also managing a team.

Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained.

Detail-oriented approach to inspections and repairs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leading maintenance department of fleet.

Maintenance and upkeep of fleet.

Identify general maintenance related problems and solve before they become an issue.

Should be able to work thorough with absolute neatness.

Attend breakdowns.

Service trucks, cranes and trailers.

Should be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Problem finding and solving on vehicles, brick cranes and trailers.
