Scope and General Purpose of the Job:

Duties include but are not limited to:

Operations

  • Oversee daily operation of the front office desk, including guest checkin/check
- out, room reservation and guest satisfaction.

  • Train, supervise and mentor front office staff to ensure adherence to hotel standards.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process of front office staff.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy levels, including upselling and crossselling techniques.
  • Oversee the checkin/checkout process, including room assignments, billing, and payment processing.
  • Monitor and enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance and uphold standards of quality and service.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to front desk activities, including occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and patience.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient front desk.
  • Implement and monitor office budget and expenses.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in front office operations and hospitality technology.
  • Promptly handle, follow up and secure any lead received by the Sales/events or Reservations department.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Hotel front office operations, with at least 2 years' experience in a Supervisory or managerial role.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS package
  • Must be able to work shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays as per required.
