Role purpose:

The H Band Specialist Data Analytics role is based in the Network Performance Intelligence department within Vodacom Technology's Africa Service Operations Centre (ASOC)
This role exists at the intersection of network performance statistics, business and software automation and data science.

The primary goal of this position is to ensure we deliver a world-class network to our customers by discovering actionable patterns in data and using that to support to our internal and external stakeholders in driving operational efficiency across our network.

We deliver in an Agile way and embrace latest innovation, data science and robotic process automation to ensure we deliver on the frontlines of disruptive technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring end-to-end reporting of Radio Access Network (RAN) network performance from various sources, as well as drive continual improvement thereof.

Support and development towards Management, Engineering and Operational teams to drive up network quality.
Support our development strategy of build-once and deploy many times across our partner markets.
Use automation in our deliverables wherever possible.
Help us progress from Descriptive & Diagnostic Analytics to Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics.
Technical support for external teams on cross-functional network performance projects.
Work closely with database operational support teams to ensure smooth operation of our systems.
Utilise database summary tables to facilitate faster reporting views.
Develop and maintain Cognos packages and frameworks.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards.
Compile ad hoc network performance presentations for Senior Executives as required.
Ensure accurate and timeous network reporting - aligned throughout all partner markets.

3 years of relevant telecommunications network performance experience
SQL - essential
Relational Database experience (this role uses Oracle database systems extensively)
3 year Degree or Diploma in either Information Systems, Mathematical Statistics, Data Science, Mechatronics or Electronic Engineering

IBM COGNOS REPORT STUDIO

AWS or GOOGLE CLOUD

MICROSOFT POWER AUTOMATE

PYTHON
