Minimum requirements:

Relevant 3 year Degree/Diploma B. Com/BSC Eng. majoring in Logistics & Warehousing

years' experience in a logistics manager role is required

Detailed (operational and strategic) understanding of procurement and supply chain operations in South Africa
Excellent understanding of the logistics environment and regulations around the movement of goods to and from African countries as well of sea freight & customs
Excellent negotiation skills
High levels of legal understanding and ability to write legal clauses.
Knowledge related to the procurement of products and services in the industry is a prerequisite
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
High level of analytical and problem solving
Selfstarter, proactive, results orientated and able to work independently
Mature, assertive and confident with ability to influence key stakeholders
Committed team player with good interactive people skills
Above average proficiency in MS office programmes
Ability to work in pressured and deadline driven operating environment
Measure and monitor Supplier performance, cost and service KPIs as defined and contracted
Identify continuous improvement opportunities with key stakeholders and Suppliers
