    Business Development Manager for Secure Distribution

    In a rapidly evolving business landscape, DSV is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and success in secure distribution. With a strong track record in new business sales and key account management, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our customers' supply chains.

    Main Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for targeting specific secure distribution business opportunities that align with our company's ideal client and product profiles. This will involve prospecting for strategic new business, managing client relationships, and developing a qualified pipeline of leads to convert into sustainable clients.

    Key Requirements

    To excel in this role, you will need:
    • A Grade 12 / Matric qualification or equivalent
    • At least 3 years of experience in senior key account management and new business sales
    • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
    • Experience in selling secure distribution and presenting to C-level executives
    • Tender management expertise, including sourcing information, pricing, and meeting deadlines

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The Business Development Manager will be accountable for:
    • Maintaining and growing existing client relationships to meet monthly and annual retention targets
    • Prospecting for new business opportunities and developing a qualified pipeline of leads
    • Managing client relationships, both existing and new
    • Monthly billing and financial reporting
    • Analysis of sales-related information and regular reporting to stakeholders
    • Maintaining accurate client data and updating records regularly
    • Providing competitor and industry analysis
    • Preparing and delivering tenders and proposals
    • Creating value for customers through innovative approaches to their business
    • Ensuring monthly and accumulative targets are met
    • Implementing and communicating signed business agreements
    • Managing debtor's days and ensuring timely payment from clients
    • Fostering inter-departmental communication and identifying cross-silo solutions
    • Maintaining client files and adhering to company procedures and quality management systems
    • Performing other duties as requested by management
