    Description

    UV Ink Formulation Chemist

    We are seeking a seasoned UV Ink Formulation Chemist to spearhead our ink formulation initiatives at our global manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in UV curable ink formulations and polymer chemistry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Formulation Development: Design, develop, and optimize UV ink formulations for various applications, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
    • Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of ink properties, including adhesion, durability, colour, rheology, and cure speed, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor formulations accordingly.
    • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of ink formulations, testing results, and production procedures, and prepare technical data sheets and other necessary documentation.
    • Scale-up and Production Support: Assist in the scale-up of ink formulations from lab scale to production, troubleshoot production issues related to ink formulation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in ink formulation processes.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, or related field.
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in UV ink formulation.
    • In-depth understanding of pigment dispersions, polymer chemistry, and UV curing mechanisms.
    • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment relevant to ink formulation and testing.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
