Job Title: Long-term Insurance Dispute Resolution Technical Lead

A critical role exists for a Long-term Insurance Dispute Resolution Technical Lead. This position involves managing the dispute resolution process, ensuring compliance and effective handling of complaints with Ombudsman offices and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispute Management
- Record and track all complaints in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) database, documenting all details accurately.
Documentation Handling
- Upload and maintain relevant documents, including physical copies and supporting materials, for each complaint.
Process Improvement
- Analyze service gaps and compliance issues to enhance client service and operational processes, recommending actionable solutions.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Maintain communication with business units to ensure timely responses to complaints, monitoring case progress.
Risk Mitigation
- Highlight reputational or financial risks associated with service gaps or non-compliance, developing strategies to address these issues.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay informed about insurance legislation changes and industry standards, participating in ongoing education and training.
Knowledge Sharing
- Foster knowledge sharing within the team, updating on regulatory changes and best practices.
Client Communication
- Provide timely updates and responses to clients regarding their complaints, offering necessary documentation.
Relationship Building
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders through workshops and discussion forums.
Reporting
- Respond promptly to inquiries from the Ombudsman and regulatory bodies, completing resolutions within stipulated deadlines.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
- Admitted Attorney
Preferred Certifications
- RE 5 Certification
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Long-term Insurance Ombudsman Liaison specialist with a focus on dispute resolution.
