    Job Purpose

    To contribute to the high standard of upskilling employees by facilitating learning and understanding the needs of the employees and Glacier. Apply best-practice methodologies to implement and facilitate Learning & Development interventions, practices and standards, ensuring technical skills development.

    Key Outcomes

    The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Learning and Development Consultant - Life Investments:

  • Engage with different stakeholder to identify training needs
  • To develop and implement training plans according to business requirements and needs;
  • To develop, compile and maintain training material, records and support materials as needs arise, ensuring that material remains current and relevant;
  • To create, schedule and deliver training programmes focused on adult learning methods and based on employee need, business priorities and best practice; to respective clients.
  • To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training by deploying measurement and feedback tools that track outcomes and ensure alignment of objectives as well as to assess learners;
  • To provide regular feedback on learning to manager and learners;
  • To provide technical support and expertise in support of the business in overall development of employees;
  • Communicate specific product, system and process changes to the business.
  • To adhere to organisational best practices and legislative requirements (Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act);
  • To provide support with regard to new projects and technology; doing training via latest training technology (tools) available to Glacier.
  • To build and maintain relationships with relevant divisions/departments to ensure sufficient knowledge of related products, processes, legislations and regulatory frameworks;
  • To maintain a consistent service delivery to ensure client retention and satisfaction;
  • To provide an efficient and effective coaching process to staff;
  • Effective communication to various stakeholders and audiences.
  • To offer Sales support in collaboration with other Stakeholders.
  • Research L&D trends, ensuring the L&D function remains competitive, current and futuristic
  • Qualifications and experience

    Qualifications:

  • Financial Services related Diploma/Degree . or Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning would be advantageous.
  • Diploma/ Degree in relevant training & development qualification . National Certificate in OD ETDP NQF level 5, Assessor and/ or Moderator
  • E-learning development experience with use of tools such as Articulate Storyline, Canva etc.
  • At least 5+ years' experience of:

  • Extensive technical knowledge and experience of the Legacy and Epsilon platform.
  • New business & Investments rules and/or admin systems (business processes; system processes and work methods).
  • Knowledge of the processes of New Business, Distribution, CCC, PAC and IT.
  • Negotiation with clients and partners in respect of service levels
  • Good understanding of all the events during the total life cycle of a Life Investments from quotation stage to maturity / surrender
  • Proven ability to train, coach and develop others
  • Sales and Distribution experience would be advantageous
  • Understanding of New Business systems (. Case Management System, Epsilon, Content Manager, Jistel, Mocha, Legacy Journal, E-IRP, Sharepoint, Roscoe, Suspense
  • Understanding of Afrikaans language would be advantageous
