Description
We have two vacancies for the Obsolescence Administrator position. We are looking for strong individuals with excellent problemsolving skills, able to work effectively as part of a team. This position requires individuals who are selfmotivated and disciplined.

Your role

The main responsibility of the position is to coordinate and control the obsolescence tools as well as to populate and maintain the databases. It also requires publishing and reporting of information and status of obsolete and new components. Designing of the component management processes and procedures will also be part of the activities. Obsolescence Reports: BOMs clean up, import BOMs into the 3rd party obsolescence tool, edit reports for internal/external customers. Obtain environmental/chemical reports from 3rd party obsolescence tool. Administration of 3rd party obsolescence tool (IHS):
  • Alerts from

IHS:
Process and assign EOL/status change tickets to different product TDAs, process all other notifications, monitor EOL tickets continuously
  • Alerts from
Procurement/Suppliers: IHS supported EOL alert (submit research request to IHS), not IHS supported EOL alert (manual ticket to be raised) LTB process: Prepare LTB sheet, obtain quotes, Forum 1 meetings with relevant parties, monitor progress until stock is allocated to relevant projects in IFS, close ticket Status monitoring of parts in


IFS:
Liaise with production (Manufacturing Planning & Control, Production Controller), Ensure parts in Part Master, Inventory Part and Engineering Part (IFS) are up to date by notifying relevant parties of changes Obsolescence for specific customers:
  • Monitor alerts weekly: Reports to be created for customer if any obsolete part affects the customer.
Maintain component databases
