    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain commercial cattle farms to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
    • Implement effective pasture management strategies to improve grazing quality and reduce waste
    • Supervise and train staff on animal husbandry practices, including breeding, feeding, and health monitoring
    • Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including cattle movements, feed intake, and veterinary treatments
    • Collaborate with veterinarians and other experts to develop and implement disease control measures

    Requirements:

    • Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
    • Previous study and commercial cattle farming experience essential
    • Min of 4 previous years experience in livestock farming
    • Pasture Management experience
    • Strong stockmanship and passion for animals
    • Ability to AI advantageous
    • Computer literate
    • Maintenance orientated
    • Strong management and communication skills
    • Passionate, energetic, pro-active and independent
    • Ability to lead and work with a team
    • Valid drivers license
