Job Advert:


Ackermans has an opportunity as a Clerk: Support Services Part of the Finance Department, this role will be responsible to perform administrative duties for Support and Accounting Services which includes but are not limited to Company Cell phones and Credit cards.

To supervise the Local Trade Creditors department, ensure proper procedures are followed and adequate output is maintained.


Reporting to the Supervisor:
Support & Accounting Services, this role will be based at our Support Centre in Kuils River.


Qualifications:


Essential:


  • Grade 12 (Accountancy and / or Mathematics)

Preferred:


  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Certificate / Diploma / Degree)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


Knowledge required:


  • Strong administration knowledge and ability

Skills required:

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel

Experience required:


Essential:


  • 2 3 Years relevant finance administration experience, including strong reconciliation experience

Preferred:


  • Retail finance experience

Key Responsibilities:

Company Cell phones

  • Administration of the daytoday Company Cell phone function
  • Liaising with Company Cell phone service provider
  • Prepare monthly Cell phone schedule and capture monthly expense journal
  • Reconcile Cell phone suspense accounts
Company Credit Cards

  • Administration of the daytoday Company Credit Card function
  • Liaising with Company Credit Card service provider
  • Prepare monthly Credit Card schedule and capture monthly expense journal
  • Reconcile Credit Card suspense accounts
Foreign Travel Expense Management

  • Administration of ordering Forex for overseas travel
  • Completing Costing and allocations from expense claim
  • Prepare monthly Forex journals for allocation to appropriate accounts
Filing and General Administration

  • Filing of financial information and documentation in line with statutory and legal requirements
  • Assist with document storage arrangements (onsite documentation storage)
