Overview:
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all machinery in the manufacturing plant to ensure a high level of performance, productivity, and efficiency.
Requirements:
- At least an N6 or Diploma in related field.
- Mechanical/Electrical Trade is essential.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance management in an automotive manufacturing sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, robotics, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and manage maintenance budgets effectively.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Functional Outputs and Activities
***Maintenance Management Systems:
- Receive maintenance reports from the maintenance technician.
- Supervise contractors repairing the machines when repairs have been outsourced
- Order critical spares according to maintenance manuals
- Update PMS(Preventative Maintenance System)
- Present Daily feedback on downtime and analysis
- Preventative Equipment and Facility Maintenance
- Maintenance Performance Analysis and Reporting
- Ensure that the correct tools are available for each job and report missing or required equipment to the General Manager
- Report Machine problems to production to raise awareness of the problem
- Maintain preventative maintenance procedure on all production equipment and facilities
- Update electronic preventative maintenance system (UpKeep)
- Update critical spares stock levels
- Order critical spares
- Contact International suppliers on Equipment issues
- Planning and Ensuring Maintenance
- Plan the daily maintenance schedule and address the most important issues first
- Ensure that job cards are completed correctly on UpKeep
- Ensure that stock levels and maintenance spares are up to date, recorded and that these spares are in good working condition when they are needed
- Ensure and record that preventative maintenance is done on all machinery in the plant
- Ensure that no other maintenance assistant works on a machine without instruction to do so
- Establish a recording track sheet for all machines to report maintenance and performance of that machine to management
