Job responsibilities:
Main Purpose
Duties
- Check the supplier documentation against physical items and verify quantity and specifications prior to acknowledging receipt or recording short delivery/ damages on the documentation.
- Quality inspections of material against the specification checklist.
- Attend to the rotation of stock based on 'first in first out principles and positioning items taking into consideration "shelflife span".
- Monitor stock levels against established safety stock levels, identifying slowmoving/ aged items and seeking approval on changes to stock control guidelines.
- Performs specific administrative tasks/ activities associated with the functionality, by
- Prepare stock schedules detailing the quantity of stock on hand detailing reasons for specific variances and the need for stock adjustment and forwarding for perusal, processing, and approval.
- Inspect the quality of material against the specification checklist and filing documentation.
- Update stock registers and control sheets, reflecting opening balances, movement, and stock on hand.
