    Job Description
    Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a wage clerk based at the client in Woodstock.

    Time & attendance administration through:
    • Daily absenteeism reporting to be compiled and distributed by 10h00 daily.
    • Ensure that clocking errors are fixed on a daily basis.
    • Ensuring employees are assigned to the correct shift on Eco time.
    • Monthly absenteeism and tardiness reporting – report to be submitted to the HR Manager by the 30th of each month.
    • Compile the planned overtime for each weekend and submit the overtime hours and cost by Tuesday of the following week

    Administer and process the monthly wage payroll accurately and timeous through:
    • Capturing of new employees for the payroll period.
    • Capturing of employee terminations.
    • Importing of hours from Eco time.
    • Capturing of all payroll deductions.
    • Submission of payroll reports before the transfer of funds to employees.
    • Submission of UIF to the Department of Manpower.
    Administration of Limited Duration Contractors by:
    • Keeping the LDC tracker up to date always.
    • Highlighting expiring contracts at least 2 weeks before the expiry date.
    Recruitment and onboarding of new wage employees by:
    • Ensuring a Manpower Requisition is completed and approved by the Managing Director before any recruitment action is initiated.
    • Identify candidates for vacancies by consulting with the relevant Manager and reviewing applications kept on file.
    • Create personnel files for each new employee.
    • Ensure that new employees are onboarded correctly – all required paperwork is obtained from the new employee, the contract is issued by the HR Manager and signed by the employee, the employee is added to Eco time and is issued with PPE
