What's the role?:


Are you an experienced, highly driven Account Manager - based in Cape Town, who was worked in either a manufacturing, engineering or related industry? We are in search of our new Account Manager -Industry, who will take ownership of market share for Hilti for all activities in the assigned territory, and further develop profitable sales.

This is no ordinary sales job - if you are able to work in a fast-paced, unique environment - then we are looking for you.

This is a "bench" vacancy, which exists for the purpose of talent pipeline creation to address our future hiring needs.

What does the role involve?:


You will take the ownership in the assigned territory to develop sales by utilizing all elements of our sales process to effectively analyze, implement and control the opportunities within the territory to achieve the assigned targets for defined territory or market segment.


You will also build fruitful working relationships with all levels - partners, contractors, system integrators & end users, and actively manage and develop the growth of key products within the sales territory by targeting the appropriate customer groups and ensure successful introduction of new products.

You will ensure the appropriate level of coverage is given to both buying and potential customers within the customer platform, to develop profitable growth.


You will actively and effectively demonstrate, service, train, and (where appropriate) test Hilti products; and to be successful you must understand the market thoroughly and know the players, therefore you will obtain information on competition, market price levels, new launches, seminars, new outlets, quality issues, product deliveries and report in monthly reports.

What you need is:


  • Completed degree/diploma not compulsory but a plus.
  • Work experience in the engineering, manufacturing or related industry is key.
  • Your ability to work in a highly pressurized, performance driven environment.
  • Proven track record in a technical sales role is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven learning agility, with a strong drive to consistently meet performance targets.
  • An agile approach to solving problems, with a solutionoriented mindset.
  • Strong business acumen, with a team orientated attitude.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.
