Finance Director

A forward-thinking Finance Director is sought after by a global engineering leader to helm their financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and overseeing professional financial management and accounting policies and systems to align with strategic objectives and comply with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and statutory regulations.
• Supervising the management and control of assets, including current, fixed, and intangible assets, such as cash, stock, inventories, property rights, buildings, and equipment.
• CALCULATING AND POSTING GENERAL PROVISIONS.
• PERFORMING IMPAIRMENT TESTS ON BOTH INTANGIBLE AND TANGIBLE ASSETS WITHIN FIXED ASSET ACCOUNTING.
• Maintaining the Finance and Controlling manual.
• Conducting period end closing procedures.
• Preparing and submitting period end financial and tax reports.
• Conducting periodic internal audits, focusing on inventory management.
• Establishing and monitoring compliance reporting structures, policies, and controls to ensure adherence to IAS, IFRS, and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Administering IT requirements and processes.
• Planning, implementing, and coordinating security activities in accordance with the ISMS catalogue.
• Recruiting, supervising, developing, and retaining a skilled finance team and office support teams.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A Matric qualification.
• A BCom Accounting degree.
• CTA certification.
• CA(SA) or CIMA qualifications.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Completed SAICA articles.
• At least 8 years of working experience.
• 3 years of experience as a financial manager, preferably in an engineering environment.
• Experience with Navision.
