    IT Technical Specialist - III (Infrastructure)

    Job Title: IT Technical Specialist - III (Infrastructure)

    Location: Cape Town

    Contract: Permanent

    Remuneration: R850,000 - R1,050,000 per annum

    Job Summary

    This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced IT Technical Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Specialist III within the IT Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing 3rd level support across the Clicks Group, ensuring a seamless service.

    You will be working with various technologies including Microsoft Server OS & Application installation and support, hardware and software support, troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring systems performance, and liaising with 3rd party service providers.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Manage System Configuration: Provide expert-level support for Microsoft Server OS & Application installation and support.
    2. Hardware and Software Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
    3. Monitoring Systems Performance: Monitor systems performance and take corrective actions to ensure optimal functioning.
    4. Liaise with Third-Party Service Providers: Collaborate with external service providers to resolve technical issues and maintain system uptime.
    5. Maintenance of System Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations and technical changes.
    6. Patch Management: Implement and manage patching schedules to ensure system security and stability.
    7. O365 Management: Manage O365 licenses and ensure smooth operation of Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019.
    8. SCCM Support: Provide expert-level support for SCCM, patch management, and package deployments.
    9. Virtualization Experience: Work with VMware and Hyper-V platforms, including server deployments, template management, and SCVMM.
    10. Active Directory Hardening: Secure and harden Active Directory infrastructure to prevent unauthorized access.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 8 years of IT Support experience
    • Active Directory experience
    • MS Office 365 experience
    • VMware, Hyper-V, and other Hypervisors experience
    • MS Windows 2012 Server 2016 Server, Server 2019 experience
    • MS Exchange Server 2016, including Hybrid experience
    • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, management, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 experience
    • Storage and Backup Technology experience
    • PAAS, IAAS, PIM experience
    • Linux, Kubernetes, RedHat Openshift experience required
    • A and N Certification
    • Microsoft Certification MCP/MCSA/MCSE/MCITP
