About the Role:

Requirements:

Relevant tertiary education in Journalism, Digital Communications, Project Management etc
5+ years' experience as a Digital Content Manager and Digital Writer in a professional capacity
Fluent in English, other African languages advantageous
Fully computer literate - Apple Mac and MS Office
Solid experience in cross-platform digital trends and technology
Solid experience in online and social media platforms, publishing, and publishing tools - websites, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Blogs, TikTok etc
Experienced in creating content strategy for digital campaigns
Experienced in creating digital content plans and schedules
Familiar with African broadcast content, channels or key shows

Responsibilities:

Managing delivery against channel or client requirements for digital projects and campaigns
Representing or leading on behalf of client in channel meetings, taking minutes and updating managers as required
Leading content meetings with a team of digital content creators
Creating digital campaigns, content plans, or show proposals
Creating project plans, idea generation, and content schedules, along with team
Project implementation with the digital content team on projects
Creating reports on performance of key digital metrics for the channel and original productions
Team training and guidance on Digital Content SOP and Guidelines
Article or social proof-reading, editing articles and content checks
Continuously optimising and improving workflow of the content teams
Track and report on delivery of content requirements
Quality management of publishing and deliverables
Taking initiative to advance project and team requirements, including suggesting areas in workflow that can be improved
Managers to be updated regularly on activities, including progress, meeting notes, weekly status updates and business requirements
