Description

We are looking for a Senior Brand Manager in Midrand to take charge of the brand management team, take a lead role in vendor relationships and take responsibility for business strategy development and implementation.

As the primary point of contact for the Brand Management team, you will manage and guide staff in terms of vendors, stock, sales, targets and performance.


Your role will involve branding and marketing strategies, and you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

You must have a tertiary qualification, coupled with 3-5 years relevant brand management experience, as well as 3-5 years' experience in a Distribution environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Effective management of the brand management team
Take the lead role in vendor relationships

  • Business Strategy Development and Execution, present strategy as part of a quarterly review
  • Overall responsibility for vendor stock, sales, and performance
  • Leverage vendor programs to maximize rebate opportunity
  • Own vendor marketing plan and execution
  • Delegate, coach, motivate and mentor team members
  • Dissemination of targets internally
  • Manage brand sales funnel and team interactions with vendor
  • Generate sales leads and constant follow up with deals
  • Identify opportunities to market products and the company
  • Liaise with vendor and industry to understand product and market trends and amend plans accordingly, to ensure efficient product life cycle management and maximize opportunities
  • Monitor inventory (inventory turns, stock ageing, stock days, obsolesces, stock outs) for stock to meet all key performance indicators
  • Negotiate targets, rebates, coop marketing funds, stock rotation, pricing and supply
  • Assisting sales managers in developing their account plans in the context of specific brand strategies

Requirements:


Minimum requirements:


  • Matriculation required
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales & Marketing or relevant
  • 35 years brand management experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Distribution environment
  • Experience in managing a team and giving direction as well as delegating tasks
  • Above average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and One Note is essential
  • Passion for technology and ability to learn new products
  • Results and deadline driven
  • Excellent technical knowledge
  • Excellent selling skills
  • Attend and present product training
  • Driver's licenses and own transport is essential
  • Ability to carry through a task to completion
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels including high profile clients and projects
