Job Summary

Join the Markets and Treasury Post trade Services team as a Specialist in Exchange Control and FinSurv reporting where you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and vetting of transactions to ensure Exchange Control compliance and support various Stakeholder units within ABSA as well as external clients by providing Exchange Control advisory services.

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

In depth knowledge and experience with FinSurv reporting. Understanding of the Balancing Module.
Exposure to Markets products with extensive knowledge on transaction vetting to ensure compliance with Exchange control.
Provide Exchange Control advisory services and training for clients and internal stakeholders by providing guidance on Exchange Control related matters
Contribute to the development of new products by collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that all requirements relating to Exchange Control Regulations are fully complied with
Ensure that changes to the Exchange Control Regulations are incorporated into products and service offerings by review when required.
Address specific matters referred from internal stakeholders by providing technical specialist input from an Exchange Control perspective.
Follow industry developments and regulatory requirements in order to ensure compliance
Monitor business processes and activities to identify real or potential areas of foreign exchange compliance risk

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce / NQF Level 6, or
Minimum 3 years General Banking experience
Minimum 3 years Market's Product experience
Minimum 5 years Exchange Control environment experience
