    Distance Learning Facilitator: Animation and Motion Design

    You have a passion for animation and motion design, and you're looking to share your expertise with aspiring animators.

    We're seeking an enthusiastic Animation & Motion Design Lecturer (Remote Position) to join our academic team at Invictus Education Group. As a Distance Learning Facilitator, you will guide students toward success by delivering high-quality academic content, providing exceptional student support, and evaluating learning outcomes in line with SAE Institute's vision and mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging online lectures and workshops, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education in animation and motion design
    • Develop and evaluate academic content, maintaining the integrity of the qualification and aligning it with industry standards
    • Moderate and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development
    • Support the curriculum and assessment management process, ensuring alignment with the higher education sector's academic compliance requirements
    • Collaborate with fellow lecturers and the HOA to provide a seamless student experience
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in animation and motion design, incorporating relevant knowledge into course materials

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7) in Animation and Motion Design, Digital Arts, or a related field
    • Minimum 2 years' teaching/lecturing experience within higher education
    • 2+ years' experience in 2D or 3D animation, preferably with software proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Creative Suite, and Blender
    • Familiarity with online facilitation and workshop skills in an academic or training environment
    • Strong administrative ability, organizational skills, and time management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Knowledge of academic compliance within the higher education sector
    • Proficient in Learning Management Systems and MS Office computer software
