    Job Title: Financial Services Expert - Johannesburg

    South32 is seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Expert to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our Global Business Services, you will play a critical role in providing specialist advice and executing transactional services for cash management activities.

    About the Role:

    This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary range of R850,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist advice and executing transactional services for cash management activities, including daily clearing and reconciliation of bank accounts, marketing accounts receivable clearing, month-end processes, and preparing bank reconciliations.

    • Cash clearing activities, including daily clearing and reconciliation of bank accounts;
    • Cash accounting services for the South African region, including customer foreign currency payments, receipts, funding (drawdowns), validating and/or providing the bank with relevant information in accordance with SARB rules and regulations;
    • Banking and liaison requirements in support of Group Treasury;
    • Resolve complex queries relating to the corporate card expense process;
    • Cash and treasury governance, including participation in internal and external audits, stewardship reviews, and SARB and Central Bank Audits;
    • Perform peer review activities.

    About You:

    We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in finance, preferably with a degree or higher qualification in accounting, business, commerce, finance, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in finance, comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, legislative requirements, and regulations, as well as knowledge of compliance and governance requirements.

    • Degree/BTECH/National Diploma (3 years) in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Finance, or a similar discipline;
    • At least 4 years of experience in finance;
