    Description

    Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for their client in the Civil/Construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment used in construction projects.

    As a Diesel Mechanic in the Civil/Construction industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction machinery and vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs and maintenance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered construction equipment and vehicles
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
    • Replace faulty parts as needed
    • Ensure efficient operation of machinery and vehicles to minimize downtime
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

    Requirements

    • N4 certificate or similar/relevant qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
    • Trade Test: Diesel Mechanic is necessary
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the civil/construction industry would be advantageous
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
    • Knowledge on health and safety processes and policies
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience in maintaining Paver, ATV, Milling Machine and Rollers would be advantageous
    • Code 10 or 14 driver's license
    • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (Xhosa also disadvantageous)
