Key Responsibilities:
To Manage, Coordinate, Monitor and Create data quality systems through strengthening, monitoring, and evaluation.
Responsible for carrying out his or her functions and responsibilities in accordance with Mercy Mission values to accomplish:
- Developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, methodologies, and tools to track progress, measure outcomes, and assess the effectiveness of programs, projects, or initiatives.
- Ensuring the performance of the organization is tracked and traced through measuring the performance through tools and indicators created.
- Conducting Quality assurance checks at certain intervals to identify gaps and ensure these gaps are filled.
- Collaborating with all teams within the organization to measure the impact of Programs and Projects.
Duties and Tasks:
Create, maintain, and strengthen data management systems by assisting with development and ensuring the implementation of SOPs.
Participate in the process of developing quality assurance systems.
Contribute to the development of guidelines and SOPs for quality assurance.
Actively participate in the assessment and management of existing databases to ensure reliable, accurate and complete information.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of databases.
Conduct regular and random verifications of submitted reports and quality control activities.
Provide inputs on improvements as necessary.
Set targets and deadlines to maintain quality standards.
Generate high quality, timeous and accurate country dashboards, charts, and reports.
Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as necessary.
Participate in the compilation and generation of any relevant information products.
Communicate and engage with both internal and external stakeholders to determine capacity building needs.
Provide training as required.
Providing on-going mentorship for peers on M&E principles
Participate in the administration of all research and evaluation activities.
Monitor research and evaluation activities to ensure the research conducted is ethical, reliable, accurate and timeous.
Generate research outputs as required.
Tracking and monitoring to be done in collaboration with the Digital Transformation Coordinator for system development.
Based on the outcomes of the tracking, make necessary training recommendation's in line with the shortfalls identified.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Good understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation principles in the NGO sector
Good understanding of systems that can be implemented as well as how to create indicators.
Excellent knowledge of MS packages and data auditing theory and principles
Experience working in a donor funded organization / NGO or project-based environment.
Ability to track and monitor spending in line with the Programs budget.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent project management and coordination skills
Excellent facilitation and ability to conduct presentations in a professional environment.
Experience in training, material development and quality improvement.
Strong report writing ability.
Management/supervisory skills
Ability to manage and resolve conflict.
