    Working Hours: 7am to 8:30pm, Monday to Sunday

    Client's Mission:

    To promote healthier eating within our community by providing plant-based meals that nurture, rejuvenate, and revitalize both the mind and body. Our aim is to serve food that benefits us and the environment.

    Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Food preparation
    • Receiving deliveries
    • Ensuring strict stock rotation and minimizing wastage by implementing and maintaining stock control procedures
    • Cleaning workstations
    • Upholding kitchen and food safety standards
    • Operating kitchen equipment such as baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
    • Setting up the station with necessary menu item stocks and preparing dishes assigned for that station
    • Monitoring supplies and prep lists, ensuring timely preparation of all items
    • Restocking service lines as required and preparing the workstation for the next shift
    • Collaborating with the team on menu item availability, additions, and any pertinent modifications
    • Estimating daily production requirements
    • Periodically checking expiry dates and ensuring proper food storage within the designated section

    Food Quality and Control:

    • Executing tasks to the established standards and expectations, ensuring that all food cooked and served is of high quality and served at a safe temperature
    • Daily inspection of all mise en place to maintain freshness and quality standards
    • Completing assigned duties efficiently and promptly
    • Maintaining food consistency and quality
    • Delegating and supervising tasks based on business demands and guidance from supervisors
    • Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by the department head

    Qualification: Completion of COMMIS CHEF APPRENTICESHIP COURSE

    Key Competencies:

    • Demonstrating a strong passion for food
    • Having at least 2 years of experience in a similar role
    • Experience in preparing vegan dishes
    • Trained in Food Hygiene and Safety
    • Possessing effective communication skills
    • Showing determination and drive to excel
