Job description

The purpose is to manage and ensure the Health and Safety of all employees, the Environment in which they operate, and the maintenance of highQuality Assurance standards within the business.
Ensure day to day safety of employees and the environment within which they operate.
Adhere to HACCP standards.
Develop or improve Health and Safety procedures in the workplace.
Conduct Internal audits.
Adhere to environmental waste management requirements.
Perform risk assessments, identify and eliminate safety hazards, and investigate nearmisses.
Ensure that relevant Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) systems are developed and/or implemented and/or improved as per required standards.
Conduct SHE meetings as per required standards.
Ensure that system and/or documentation updates are and when necessary.
Assist the business with readiness for external audits.
Contractor safety management.
Ensure IODs are recorded accordingly, investigated and solution implemented to avoid reoccurrence.
Ensure all employee medicals are up to date
Ensure all relevant business and/or SHEQ related licenses are renewed and/or up to date.
Establish and ensure the functioning of a Health and Safety Committee as required by the OHS Act.
Ensure that the Health and Safety Policy is continuously up to date.
SHEQ Reporting and Administration as and when required.

Qualification

Minimum qualification

National Diploma in Health and Safety Management is essential.
Must have knowledge of and experience working with laws governing SHEQ.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experience in conducting Investigations and Reportwriting.
Knowledge of the OHS Act, HACCP and other Statutory requirements related to SHEQ and where required, smooth implementation thereof.
Uptodate knowledge of industry trends and best practices in payroll and HR management.

Salary:
R45,000.00 per month
