Job description
- The purpose is to manage and ensure the Health and Safety of all employees, the Environment in which they operate, and the maintenance of highQuality Assurance standards within the business.
- Ensure day to day safety of employees and the environment within which they operate.
- Adhere to HACCP standards.
- Develop or improve Health and Safety procedures in the workplace.
- Conduct Internal audits.
- Adhere to environmental waste management requirements.
- Perform risk assessments, identify and eliminate safety hazards, and investigate nearmisses.
- Ensure that relevant Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) systems are developed and/or implemented and/or improved as per required standards.
- Conduct SHE meetings as per required standards.
- Ensure that system and/or documentation updates are and when necessary.
- Assist the business with readiness for external audits.
- Contractor safety management.
- Ensure IODs are recorded accordingly, investigated and solution implemented to avoid reoccurrence.
- Ensure all employee medicals are up to date
- Ensure all relevant business and/or SHEQ related licenses are renewed and/or up to date.
- Establish and ensure the functioning of a Health and Safety Committee as required by the OHS Act.
- Ensure that the Health and Safety Policy is continuously up to date.
- SHEQ Reporting and Administration as and when required.
Qualification
- Must have 3 years' SHEQ experience in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
- Minimum qualification
- National Diploma in Health and Safety Management is essential.
- Must have knowledge of and experience working with laws governing SHEQ.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience in conducting Investigations and Reportwriting.
- Knowledge of the OHS Act, HACCP and other Statutory requirements related to SHEQ and where required, smooth implementation thereof.
- Uptodate knowledge of industry trends and best practices in payroll and HR management.
Salary:
R45,000.00 per month
