The opportunity
Technology Consulting business is a fast-growing sub-service line within EY's Consulting service line. A dynamic group focused on providing high value independent, trusted advice to clients, with a focus on transformation programmes.

The Technology Transformation domain works with clients in creating value and delivering world-class IT capabilities to support business needs.

Working closely with our industry groups and leveraging the EY brand as independent, trusted advisors, we provide our high-profile clients with a range of services including:

IT Strategy and Sourcing Advisory
Enterprise Architecture Services
Digital Transformation (including Cloud, Analytics, Cyber, Mobility, Social Media, Internet of Things, etc.)
IT Operating Model Design, IT Functions Transformation & IT Governance

We are seeing massive growth and potential in Technology Transformation across multiple sectors including Financial Services, Energy and Resources, Retail, Auto, Telecom, Life Sciences, Government, etc.

We are seeking a highly experienced individual that has worked in a Technology Transformation space with large recognised businesses in South Africa / abroad.

This is a leadership role guiding clients on their IT vision, strategy, architecture and cloud transformation roadmap as they embark on and build their cloud journey.

Most of your time will be spent embedded with our clients' team and we'll look to you to provide them with a unique business perspective on how they must continue to innovate and remain competitive with cloud technologies in this ever-changing industry.

Your key responsibilities

The role involves sales / sales support, practice development and engagement delivery.
Contribute to continued growth and profitability for EY, by identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities in existing and potential clients for own and other areas of the firm.
The individual should be adept at people development and management for the practice.
Build longterm relationships with key client decision makers which are based on mutual respect; act as a trusted advisor to key decision makers.
Engage customers to gain trustedadvisor status with the CIO / CTO and other CXOlevel executives of large enterprises in South Africa and offer innovative services around Cloud Architecture, Enterprise Application Landscape Architecture and Optimization, Infrastructure Reengineering and overall optimization and enhanced realization of ROI on IT investments.
Be a thought leader on Enterprise IT adoption/strategies and on adoption of state of the art technology trends and emerging design patterns. Should be able to represent the firm in leading conferences/forums on Information Technology issues and trends.
Anticipate clients' Technology needs well beyond current engagements, adding value to the clients' longterm business.
Identify industry issues faced by key accounts and assist in adapting offerings with relevant industry content to meet client needs.
Act as a sounding board for clients on making investment decisions on Information Technology and using IT for transforming their organisations.
Drive IT projects with clients while managing the budget, timelines and quality of end deliverables.
Help clients to plan out their cloud journey. Establish the why, the what and the how of making the transition to the Cloud. Help establish the business case. Document the overall roadmap for change.
Advise on establishing a cloud operating model including setting up a customer CoE, cloud operations, change management and governance.
Team with various EY groups with digital, data, cyber and cloud capabilities to pursue and deliver endtoend digital engagements and enable solutions that will bring our client's digital vision and strategy to life.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor's degree ideally in technology (Business with MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems)
Proven track record of successful delivery of large engagements in area of Technology Transformation.
Experience in building, leading and coaching teams in order to achieve business objectives.
