Warehouse Foreman (Steel) position in Germiston
:

We're currently seeking a Warehouse Foreman to join our client's team and oversee their steel warehouse operations.


Requirements:


  • Fluent in English, Zulu, or Xhosa.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse role, in the steel industry.
  • Proven managerial experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing steel materials.
  • Ensure efficient inventory management, conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders and meet customer requirements.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to optimize operations and streamline processes.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during warehouse operations.
  • General housekeeping
  • Must be strong on the administrative side of Warehouse operations.
