    Job Purpose

    To oversee and guide personnel within a branch to achieve service and sales goals while ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures to mitigate risks and align with the financial and service objectives of the business unit.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage expenses and analyze financial reports.
    • Ensure effective cost management and branch profitability by optimizing the retail product mix.
    • Drive the accomplishment of sales and operational goals through monitoring, tracking progress, and performance management.
    • Meet client acquisition, retention, and cross-selling objectives.
    • Implement business strategies, sales initiatives, and marketing campaigns while managing branch assets.
    • Deliver exceptional client service by assessing branch capacity needs.
    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients.
    • Ensure a superior client experience through available systems and thorough client needs assessments.
    • Facilitate digital migration and client education.
    • Train staff on service standards and maintain service history documentation.
    • Effectively manage client feedback, including comments and complaints.
    • Enhance client acquisition and fulfillment by promoting a service-oriented culture.
    • Execute the branch business plan through strategic capacity planning.
    • Clarify roles and responsibilities for each position.
    • Meet objectives related to Branch Risk Observation Training Analysis (BROTA).
    • Ensure business continuity through effective disaster recovery planning.
    • Minimize operational and reputational risks by enforcing compliance with legislative requirements.
    • Ensure staff compliance with cash management protocols.
    • Conduct regular reviews of client management systems to ensure accuracy in sales reporting.
    • Ensure adherence to data quality standards and implement corrective measures as needed.
    • Recommend process enhancements to foster a client-centric environment.
    • Achieve business unit objectives through effective capacity management.
    • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, applying corrective actions when necessary.
    • Mentor and coach staff to address performance gaps.
    • Support the realization of business strategies, objectives, and values.
    • Stay informed about developments in the field of expertise.
    • Promote personal growth and enhance effectiveness in role performance.
    • Ensure staff participation in relevant training to encourage client-focused behaviors.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Completion of a Diploma or Degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.

    Preferred Certifications

    • FAIS certification/registration is mandatory.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a client-facing retail sales environment and 2 years in people management.
