    Description

    Job Title:

    Java Developer (German and English speaking)

    About the Role:

    We are a software development firm specializing in delivering top-notch software solutions to our European clientele based in South Africa.

    The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years' experience in Java development, showcasing expertise in product or personnel management, along with a solid understanding of the respective ecosystems.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
    2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
    3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
    4. Interpret technical specifications, design following principles and patterns, code according to standards.
    5. Conduct code reviews.
    6. Prepare technical documentation.
    7. Troubleshoot and debug applications.
    8. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies.

    Requirements:

    1. At least 3 years of professional experience as a Java developer with product or personnel responsibility, with a good knowledge of the respective ecosystems.
    2. Experience working with modern Java frameworks, i.e. Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
    3. Passion for great software design and coding best practices, including object-oriented programming, dependency injection, and ORM.
    4. Knowledge and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
    5. Experience with modern cloud environments: AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
    6. Proficient in Git.
    7. Experience with modern CI/CD environments like GitHub, GitLab, or similar.
    8. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
    9. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
    10. Fluent in German and English (C2 or mother tongue).

    Optional Experience:

    1. At least one year of professional experience with a modern frontend framework (i.e. Angular, React, or VueJs).

    Estimated Salary Range:

    R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum
