Marketing Writer and Communications Manager


Generate effective written content and help execute external communications for a heritage wine estate offering a village-like hub for locals and a highly attractive winelands destination experience for visitors.

Responsible for writing communication material such as press releases, social media, newsletters, brochure copy and website content.

Responsible for day to day social media, working alongside a specialist digital marketing company on campaigns.


Editorial & Copywriting

  • Ensure that the quality of all our written communication is good and the tone is consistent with our brand.
  • Draft press releases.
  • Write and edit website content.
  • Produce newsletters.
  • Copywrite marketing material.

PR Support

  • Collate information and draft press releases.
  • Distribute PR and secure local coverage. At some stage work alongside appointed PR partners on specific campaigns.
  • Upload and curate coverage into our PR library.
  • Distribute PR coverage.

Brand & Marketing Support

  • Help execute our communication strategy and campaigns.
  • Help with the production of marketing materials including menus, brochures, leaflets, newsletters, websites, trade presentations, branded items, etc.
  • Manage and update website content.
  • Manage database and newsletters.
  • Maintain our digital library of all marketing material, logo's, brand items, etc. produced.

Social Media

  • Responsible for daytoday social media, showcasing the guest experience and sharing news of upcoming events.
  • Create content including text posts, videos and images for use on social media
  • Monitor social media accounts
  • Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages
  • Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media websites such as Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Work alongside Specialist Digital Marketing company who will drive digital strategy and performance campaigns.

Photo and Video

  • Able to produce good quality photos, and possibly video, for social media.
  • Keep tabs on gaps in our image library to be filled by professional Photographers.
  • Load new material onto our digital library and marketing channels.
  • Distribute imagery as required for marketing and PR.
