    The Learning and Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing training initiatives that seamlessly align with organisational goals.     Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct thorough training needs analyses to identify gaps in employee skills.
    2. Design and update training programs in various formats (in-person, online, blended) to cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring optimal engagement and retention.
    3. Align training initiatives with performance and talent management frameworks, guaranteeing seamless integration and maximum impact.
    4. Facilitate leadership development through mentoring and succession planning, empowering employees to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
    5. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives through constructive feedback and performance metrics, providing actionable insights for improvement.
    6. Prepare comprehensive reports on training outcomes and ROI, offering valuable data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
    7. Collaborate closely with departmental managers to identify learning needs and provide tailored solutions, addressing specific skill gaps and knowledge deficiencies.
    8. Offer expert guidance to management on best practices for learning and development, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
    2. ODETDP Diploma and registration as a Skills Development Facilitation (SDF).
    3. Facilitator and Assessor certification in EDTP.
    4. OPETDP Diploma and registration as an SDF.

    Essential Experience & Knowledge:

    1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as retail or hospitality.
    2. In-depth understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design, enabling the creation of engaging and effective training programs.
    3. Exceptional facilitation, communication, and e-learning skills, allowing for successful collaboration and knowledge transfer.
