    About the job Consultant / Quality Assurance Lead

    Duties and responsibilities:

    1. Working in close co-operation with business customers and teams, you apply analytical and business skills to evaluate existing systems, products, and processes advancing business objectives.
    2. You establish and have overall responsibility for the goals, policies, and procedures for end-to-end software quality assurance functions.
    3. You determine the tools, techniques, staffing, and methodologies ensuring efficient release of quality software features and new products in line with SAFe Agile built-in quality principles.
    4. You create strategies and specific objectives for the quality function ensuring working agreements are established with internal and external teams.
    5. You ensure a quality framework is established and documented in line with confirmed strategies and objectives, and any required updates or changes post-review sessions are incorporated and socialized with all programme stakeholders as part of continuous improvement efforts.
    6. You embed the quality framework into adopted ways of work and equip teams to align to defined quality processes and controls.
    7. You develop budgets, policies, and procedures to support organisational objectives.
    8. You contribute to governance authorities within the division.
    9. You drive maturity in adoption of test-driven design and development approach.
    10. You manage quality aspects around planning, designing, building, and implementation of IT services including defects, new development, and major enhancements to systems, and across system ecosystems.
    11. You plan and implement quality checks to ensure quality elements and standards as per defined quality framework are adhered to, including requirements elicitation and elaboration both functional and non-functional analysis efforts and artifacts architecture efforts and artifacts delivery and test efforts and artifacts.
    12. You agree, document, maintain, and socialise the Definition of Ready and the Definition of Done at epic/feature/user story levels across and within value streams as well as delivery teams.
    13. You coordinate all quality assurance activities across teams together with responsible delivery leads.
    14. You monitor and ensure adherence to Definition of Ready and Definition of Done as agreed and defined.
    15. You review, evaluate, and analyse complex information for the purpose of ensuring the department meets established quality standards and remains compliant.
    16. You ensure test efforts are comprehensive to ensure overall quality deliverables.
    17. You develop, manage, and execute all phases of quality assurance testing including analysis of product requirements to process improvement budget & cost control stakeholder relations qualifications produce end-to-end test requirements.
    18. You ensure requirements coverage based on agreed standard.
    19. You develop and continuously seek to improve organisational standards, policies, and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure full compliance.
    20. You build a continuous-improvement culture within the testing teams.
    21. You assist and advise during engineering initiatives to improve best practices and streamlined software delivery while striving for continuous improvement.
    22. You contribute to working practices to support multiple streams of development projects feature teams and cross-functional teams.
    23. You manage all quality aspects for the platform function and its objectives in line with approved budgets report variances as required and recommend/implement remedial action within span of control.
    24. You assess expenditure and resolve gaps.
    25. You manage third-party vendors ensuring effective cost management of third-party suppliers.
    26. You build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    27. You provide specialised and technical support to internal and external stakeholders in matters relating to the platform team.
    28. You negotiate solutions with business stakeholders.
    29. You represent the organisation by providing input motivations and opinions on business product and technical strategy.
    30. You drive knowledge-sharing collaboration and information exchange across the wider enterprise.
    31. You develop key relationships within the group with a view on capitalising learning from other technology areas.
    32. You develop key relationships with third-party service providers.
    33. You manage offshore service providers where necessary to adequately provide capacity and speed of delivery.
    34. You handle vendor relationships to deliver products and services.
    35. You establish and operate a Quality Assurance community of practice to drive adoption of best practices and defined ways of work.

    Qualifications and experience:

    1. Degree/Diploma in Technology/Information Management.
    2. Relevant Qualification in Quality Assurance and Governance Principles.
    3. Post Graduate Degree in Technology/Information Management.
    4. SAFe Agile certification.
    5. 8+ years relevant experience of which 5 years management experience in terms of quality assurance and testing in a software development environment.
    6. Demonstrable experience in adoption of Test Driven Design and Development.
    7. Previous experience in business analysis and associated best practice principles preferred.
    8. Deep technical expertise and good understanding of underlying business processes and systems.
    9. Experience of working in high-pressure environment and working to tight deadlines.
    10. Experience of working with multiple third-party vendors.
    11. Experience in advocating development practices like test-driven development continuous integration and continuous deployment.
    12. Experience in working on several successful projects in web and mobile environment.
    13. Previous exposure to full life cycle systems development.
    14. Solid understanding of agile methodologies.
    15. Exposure to complex change environments and experience in project integration.
    16. Exposure to IT project and programme management IT lifecycle and ITIL processes.
