Description
DUTIES
- Check if trucks are loaded properly to establish if there are no intransit damages.
- Offload trucks and containers.
- Unpack, check, and verify parts received from external and internal suppliers in terms of quality and quantity. Involve quality where there are quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with the ISO process.
- Check invoices/delivery notes against the stock supplied for accuracy and nonconformance ensuring physical stock quantity is the same as invoice quantity.
- All checked invoices and delivery notes must be ticked on the quantity to show that the invoice or delivery note was checked.
- Ensure that all checked invoices and delivery notes are signed with Name, surname, signature, date, and employee number.
- Use the 'goods not checked stamp' if goods are not checked or use the 'goods checked stamp' if goods are checked.
- Ensure all parcels and paperwork delivered by courier match the waybill.
- Ensure that the weights of the parcel match the weights recorded on the waybill and endorse on the waybill if there is variance and report to the administrator.
- Accurately endorse on the delivery notes/invoices and waybill of any discrepancy or nonconformance.
- Ensure all invoices received are Migo'd i.e., 107 immediately after checked.
- Ensure all invoices received are Migo'd i.e., 109 within 8 hours from the time an invoice is received.
- Ensure all spares are packed according to the packaging and preservation matrix.
- Report all nonconformances, and short supplies by endorsing the dispute on GLC and supplier copy and then raise CNR.
- Supplier representative or driver must acknowledge discrepancy on the GLC, supplier copy, and waybill by signing next to the line in question with Name, Surname, and signature.
- When endorsing the dispute on the invoice or delivery note, indicate if the stock was short, damaged, incomplete, rusted etc. Also indicate the quantity disputed.
- All discrepancies must be reported to the administrator immediately.
- Ensure all invoices and delivery notes are recorded on the internal handover register immediately.
- Hand over all onward parcels to dispatch the same day the parcel was received.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out all reasonable instructions.
- You may be asked to work overtime.
- And ensure any related Adhoc functions are performed as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 and ABET Level
- A minimum of two (2) years previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Must be flexible to work overtime if requested
- Wellorganized, able to multitask but also attentive to detail
- Excellent communication skills & ability to interact all levels
- Ability to work independently and able resolve issues.
