Purpose:
The purpose of the Accounts Payable Clerk role is to:
Administer P-Cards
Process and post invoices and credit notes
Reconcile creditors accounts and resolve queries
Ensure timely payment to creditors according to payment terms
Confirm Intercompany balances
Job Content:
Key Performance Areas:
P-Card Administration (25% of time spent)
Assist in the setup of P-Cards
Process P-Card purchase transactions
Prepare P-Card reconciliations
Process P-Card vendor payments

Attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure
Time and Reimbursable Expense Administration (25% of time spent)
Assist in the setup of employee Time and Expense (T&E)
Administer credit cards for T&E
Follow up and resolve T&E report/system issues
Resolve T&E report exceptions
Prepare T&E payments

Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure
Invoice Processing, Payments, and Reconciliations (50% of time spent)
Receive and verify invoices and documentation for payment processing
Follow up on missing documentation
Ensure proper authorization of payments
Process accounts payable transactions in the accounting system
Validate, approve, and post invoices
Prepare files for payment runs
Ensure timely payments to suppliers
Monitor accounts and ensure up-to-date payments
Forward transfer proofs, cheques, and receipts to suppliers
Address queries from suppliers
Conduct monthly reconciliations of creditors accounts
Maintain an organized filing system for creditors
Assist with general administration and financial duties
Confirm Intercompany balances

Minimum Requirements:
Relevant Diploma or degree
Experience in financial administration
