    Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

    The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to manage procurement contracts with suppliers and oversee the supply chain process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure implementation of contract, Purchase Order and Invoices management policies
    • Manage contracts, purchase orders and invoices processes and systems
    • Facilitate the reporting of contracts, Purchase Orders and Invoices management relating to procurement activities
    • Assist in human capital development, change management and transformation

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Financial Sciences, Logistics or equivalent qualification with NQF 7
    • Postgraduate degree or equivalent degree at NQF 8 will be an added advantage
    • 6 years of work experience in the relevant field, 3 years of which should be at supervisory level
    • Extensive knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures, processes, practices, systems, and frameworks related to supply chain management
    • Comprehensive experience in procurement systems particularly related to Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB)
    • In-depth knowledge and experience in the implementation of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Generally Recognised Accounting Practice
    • Advanced planning, organizing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Business report writing skills
    • People management skills
    • Excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of software tools including Ms. Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, and Outlook
