    Electrical Building Services Engineer / Technologist Position

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and relevant industry experience.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Develop, implement, and maintain electrical building services and electronic systems within commercial buildings.
    2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into building designs.
    3. Provide technical expertise in the specification, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
    4. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GCC, JBCC, NEC, FIDIC).
    5. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in electrical engineering, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
    6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of projects, including site visits, inspections, and test results.
    7. Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to resolve issues and provide solutions.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree or Bachelor of Technology Degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • 6-10 years of experience in the Building Electrical Services and Electronic Systems sector.
    • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or a Professional Engineering Technologist.
    • Proficiency in Autodesk BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Glue, Field, etc.) and Autodesk MEP Electrical.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Valid driver's license and own transportation for site visits.
    • Valid South African Passport.
    • Willingness to travel within South Africa and Africa.
