    Dynamic Audit Senior Role in South Africa

    We are seeking an experienced and qualified Audit Senior to join our offshoring team based in South Africa.

    This role involves delivering exceptional audit and accounting services to a diverse clientele.

    Location: Johannesburg or Cape Town (Hybrid)

    Contract Term: 12-Month Annual Renewable Contract

    Role Overview:

    As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for completing audit and accounting assignments.

    Primary responsibilities include audit work, with some accounting tasks and taxation computations.

    You may supervise junior staff on other client projects and work with a diverse portfolio of clients.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Conduct planning and budgeting before commencing jobs, ensuring partner approval of plans prior to assignment initiation.
    • Prepare comprehensive files for review, including drafted accounts and tax computations, approved audit programs, and documented queries.
    • Oversee projects managed by junior staff, monitoring progress and adherence to time and budget constraints.
    • Review work completed by junior staff, providing clear understanding of tasks and objectives and supporting their skills development through on-the-job training and supervision.
    • Handle routine correspondence promptly and inform your manager promptly of any delays.
    • Identify opportunities to improve client service by recommending additional services to current clients and attracting new clients to the firm.
    • Maintain the firm's quality assurance procedures and deliver exceptional standards of client care.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with 1-2 years of post-article experience in the private sector.
    • Proficiency in drafting accounts and tax computations.
    • Proven experience in leading full audits and ability to work independently.
    • UK GAAP experience would be highly advantageous.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
    • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in using audit software: CaseWare, Inflow and Xero.
