    About the Role

    The Technical Learning and Development Trainer will ensure all Tracker technicians are fully trained and developed to address specific training needs. They will assist the Management Team in identifying training needs across business units, determine suitable training objectives and outcomes, and develop relevant training material.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, maintain, and upgrade installation-related training materials as needed.
    • Design and implement installation theory and practical training programs.
    • Plan and deliver installation theory sessions for all Tracker-employed technicians.
    • Facilitate technical training (theory and practical).
    • Conduct installation theory and practical sessions for Fitment Centre/Reseller Installation Technicians performing installations on behalf of Tracker Connect.
    • Plan and perform installation theory sessions for all Tracker-employed Quality Assurers.
    • Facilitate technical training (theory and practical).
    • Provide refresher training for all Tracker, Fitment Centre, and Reseller technicians.
    • Assess technical training (theory and practical).
    • Perform regular assessments of installation technicians, identify problem areas, and suggest solutions.
    • Identify training needs and develop suitable programs on a regular basis.
    • Oversee technical trial projects aligned with client or OEM approval to enhance product fit and support.
    • Determine client requirements.
    • Training and quality assurance.
    • Analyze results and document recommendations.
    • Offer technical advice to Managers, Technicians, and Quality Supervisors.
    • Foster the Technical Internship program.
    • Share quarterly reports with stakeholders on technician performance and training outcomes.
    • Establish key performance indicators for effective development, coordination, and presentation of training programs.
    • Collaborate with the E-learning specialist on assessments.
    • Implement the Tech Mobile App and monitor training content with the E-learning specialist.
    • Serve as a liaison between the L&D department and Compliance, promoting agendas and providing statistical information for continuous improvement.
    • Develop training standards and ensure quality assurance for training activities within the L&D department.
    • Ensure learning and skills development programs adhere to a consistent methodology, including needs assessment, ROI, expectations, success evaluation, and quality control.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or degree in Technical Training or equivalent qualification in ODETD Practices.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in training.
    • Accredited Assessor (advantageous if constituent Assessor).
    • Accredited Moderator (advantageous if constituent Moderator).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Embody Tracker business values.
    • Maintain industry knowledge and best practices in education and development.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with departments at all levels.
    • Ability to work independently under pressure and take responsibility.
    • Capacity to motivate teams.
    • Planning and organizing skills.
    • Exceptional business writing skills.
