Luxury Lodge

  • KwaZulu Natal

Requirements:


  • Degree or equivalent from a reputable & recognized Hotel School (Advantageous)
  • At least 3 years Hospitality Management experience in a luxury lodge environment (Essential)
  • Good understanding of all aspects of the lodge operation (F&B, FOH, Finance, HR, Operations, Field, Maintenance etc)
  • Strong Food and Beverage background
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent Customer Relations
  • Fluent in MS Office, MS Word & MS Excel
  • Professional and well groomed
  • Driver's license essential
  • RSA Nationals will be given preference

Responsibilities:


  • Meet guests and ensure they know who is in charge and looking after them
  • Assist with the final preparation of the lodge to welcome guests
  • Oversee lodge and all staff
  • Handle bookings
  • Developing and implementing a plan for running the lodge on a daily basis
  • Ensuring that brand standards are always maintained in all areas
  • Ensuring a consistently high guest experience
  • Oversee kitchen
  • Manage orders
  • Represent the brand in appearance and behavior
  • Create an environment where the company culture is fostered
  • Innovate new ideas and ways to improve service delivery
  • Ensure that a culture of rewarding and recognizing of staff is followed through at all levels of the lodge
  • Ensure that training & development of staff is coordinated
  • Make sure that controls and systems are in place to ensure the sustainability of the business as well as conserving resources
  • Ensure succession planning and future development goals are met
