    Description

    Job Overview:

    To develop and maintain a Business Intelligence System, creating reports that support various projects.

    Key Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Python
    • Experience with R programming language
    • Familiarity with MS SQL and NoSQL databases
    • Degree or Diploma in Information Systems
    • BI Reporting skills, particularly with Power BI
    • Data warehouse design knowledge
    • Azure cloud computing expertise (a plus)
    • Azure data lake and database management
    • Azure analysis and integration services
    • Microsoft 365 suite proficiency

    Desirable Skills:

    • Microsoft Power Automate
    • Microsoft Forms
    • Microsoft Dataverse
    • Familiarity with other BI technologies
    • Ability to create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD)
    • Project management skills
    • Effective communication skills
    • Analytical skills for information processing
    • Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure
    • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and SQL Databases
    • Ability to manage a BI project from start to finish

    Main Responsibilities:

    Data Set Development:

    • Understand data requirements
    • Knowledge of database structure and relevant data locations
    • Design optimal reporting structure
    • Data warehousing tailored to report needs
    • Awareness of current dataset portfolio
    • Ability to update or improve existing data for various functions

    Report Creation:

    • Understanding of report requirements
    • Development of appropriate report UI
    • Documentation of report requirements and usage/explanation
    • Ongoing feedback and confirmation of report relevance
    • Awareness of current reporting portfolio – ability to update or improve reports for various functions

    General and Task Management:

    • Ownership of tasks until resolution
    • Engagement with task owners for desired outcomes
    • Update and maintain task lists or boards
    • Consultation on issue items where necessary
    • Participation in future planning discussions
    • Understanding of company system infrastructure
    • Basic working knowledge of company databases
    • Leveraging skills to accomplish company objectives
    • Project management skills

    Package & Remuneration:

    R 27,000 - R 30,000 per month
