Pressure Die Castings (PDC) is a specialist die casting company that has been in business since 1952 and is located in Pietermaritzburg.

PDC is an experienced supplier of brass, aluminium and zinc castings to the South African and international markets.

The company has an integrated process line from sourcing raw materials, to tool-making and manufacturing, which ensures delivery of quality products on time.

More than 50% of PDC's production is exported and the company has been a certified ISO9001 company since 1997.

Experience Required

• Knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD Software to create part models and geometry as needed.
• CAM programming experience for 3axis milling machines.
• Tooling design of Jigs & Fixtures, Gauges, Moulds, Dies & Trim Tools.

- +2 Yrs experience as a Tool and Die Maker would be advantageous.
- +1 Yrs experience in a manufacturing environment.

Working Knowledge

• Knowledge of Visi, SolidWorks or EdgeCAM 3D CAD/CAM Software would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, NanoCAD or Draftsight 2D Software would be advantageous.
• Must be computer literate able to use Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Must be able to use a varied degree of measuring equipment.
• Technical aptitude and ability to grasp multiple technologies.
• Influence & Liaise at various levels of Production.
• Knowledge of best implementation practices.
• Maintain revision and quality control on programs, tool sheets, and setup documentation.
• Plan and execute manufacturing processes.

Ability to Relocate:

• Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal: Relocate before starting work (required)
