QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field or Diploma in Financial Management or Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting or Diploma in Internal Auditing
- 23 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within the finance or accounting department of a logistics or freight forwarding company.
- Strong exposure to logistics and freight forwarding operations.
- Proficiency in financial management principles and accounting practices.
- Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems for managing financial operations.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience.
- Understanding of local financial regulations and tax laws.
- Professional Memberships with relevant Finance or Accounting institutions would be advantageous. (E.g.
- CIMA, IIA, SAIPA, ICB or ICSA)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Financial Operations Management
- Oversee and manage the daytoday financial operations of the assigned legal entity.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, and assets.
- Monitor financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Review and reconcile financial statements, general ledgers, and subsidiary accounts.
Accounts Payable Management
- Oversee the Accounts Payable Teams in each legal entity.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the assigned legal entity.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights to the management team.
- Manage the preparation of audit schedules and facilitate internal and external audits.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, laws, and company policies.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through regular risK assessments and proactive measures.
Ad hoc Duties
- Handling various ad hoc duties assigned by the Group Financial Manager or senior management.
