    Innovation Lead

    A multinational cosmetics company seeks a temporary Innovation Lead to drive brand growth and product development.

    Description

    The Innovation Lead will provide strategic leadership for the company's brands, developing strategies that include product, packaging, advertising, and 360-degree activation plans. This role plays a critical part in implementing initiatives across multiple brands, collaborating with marketing functions, supply chain, R&D, and NPD teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develops brand growth strategies through category input, market analysis, and research data.
    2. Understands local markets and consumer needs, providing input to the category team.
    3. Conducts competitor reviews and develops action plans to protect and grow market share.
    4. Analyses market and Justine performance to evaluate brand and innovation objectives.
    5. Collaborates to allocate resources (budgets, investments) to meet brand innovation objectives.
    6. Drives brand value through positioning, image, advertising assets, and style guides.
    7. Collaborates with BI, Category, and market research to develop superior consumer insights.
    8. Updates the category on all aspects of the brand, ensuring alignment and visibility.
    9. Delivers new products and develops an innovation pipeline that translates into market success.

    Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Relevant qualification is advantageous.

    Experience: Significant Brand Marketing experience; Innovation and beauty preferred.

    Skills:

    1. Relevant multiple category experience preferred.
    2. Direct selling or catalogue/mail order experience preferred.
    3. Experience in product development and project management.
    4. Matrix Organization practical working knowledge.
    5. Developing Brand Strategy
    6. Managing the Brand Portfolio
    7. Knowing the Consumer and insight development
    8. Leading New Product Development (Advanced Practitioner) (Critical)
    9. Integrating Cross-Functional Operations (Advanced)
