My client, an international fruit growing concern located in Paarl, is seeking to employ a junior Financial Controller / Accounting Clerk to join their dynamic team.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements.
  • Maintaining financial records, running reports for management and recording a wide range of financial transactions
  • Upkeep of accounting software programs (e.g. SAP, Docuware etc.) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipt
  • Processing/allocation of financial transaction in SAP
  • Producing a variety of reports including Trial Balance, Balance sheets and management reports
  • Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records including wages, repairs and maintenance, fuel and Agri-Chemicals

Performance Metrics:

  • Annual Financial Audit Results 30%
  • Monthly reconciliations 60%
  • Administration 10%
Skills Include

  • Detailed, good communication
  • Business acumen, computer literate, data analyses,
mathematics

  • Report writing, problem solving, deadline driven

Requirements include:

  • Financial degree (NQF 7)
  • Professional registrations: SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA
  • SAP, Excel (level 3)
