One of our US based clients are looking for experienced Cyber Security Analyst/Specialist with a strong background in Cyber Security and prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).


Responsibilities:
-
Cyber Security: Implement and manage cyber security solutions to safeguard clients' IT environments from potential threats, including malware, viruses, and unauthorized access. Regularly monitor security systems, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement security patches and updates.

Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships. Understand clients' IT requirements and business objectives to provide tailored support and security solutions.

Incident Management: Respond to and escalate security incidents in a timely manner, following established protocols and best practices. Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.

Proactive Maintenance: Conduct routine system checks, maintenance, and upgrades to optimize clients' IT infrastructure performance and security. Implement proactive measures to prevent potential issues.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, technical issues, solutions provided, and cyber security measures taken. Update knowledge base and documentation regularly to facilitate efficient issue resolution.

Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to clients on cyber security best practices, awareness, and incident handling to enhance their security posture.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and developers, to deliver comprehensive IT solutions to clients.

Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in cyber security, IT support, and emerging technologies. Obtain relevant certifications to enhance expertise and contribute to the team's knowledge base.


Requirements:


  • Education: Certificates/Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or Cyber Support Analyst, with specific experience working for an MSP and interacting directly with clients.
  • Cyber Security Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and data encryption.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, network protocols, cloud technologies, and remote access tools. Experience with security tools such as SIEM, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical users effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated customercentric approach with a focus on delivering exceptional support and building positive client relationships.
  • Certifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are desirable.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.


This position requires the ability to work in US hours, but there is flexibility in scheduling to accommodate both US and South Africa (SA) time zones.
