    Sales Executive - Commercial / Heavy Vehicle Industry

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

    We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to join our team at gp-consult. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Leadership and Planning

    We require a skilled Sales Executive who can plan all sales activity for allocated strategic accounts, provide customers with a point of contact scenario, and apply the retail pricing framework in a sensible and profitable manner.

    The ideal candidate will ensure efficient liaison meetings take place at Dealer level, coordinate after sales activities for allocated strategic accounts, and provide a transport consultancy service to demonstrate total operating costs.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Managing positive supplier relationships;
    • Contributing to sales CSM results, growing customer satisfaction and relationships;
    • Providing a sales engineering service to ensure correct vehicle selection;
    • Applying strict measures to the company's SHE policy at all times;
    • Achieving or exceeding the agreed annual targets (unit sales, market share and gross profit).

    Critical Success Factors

    The successful candidate will possess an accurate understanding of the deal process, including:

    • Deal closure;
    • Vehicle selection and load body fitment / procurement;
    • Vehicle delivery and handover;
    • Vehicle payment and deal file closure;
    • Strict control over vehicle deliveries and handovers.

    Customer Relations

    We require a Sales Executive who can manage and drive high levels of customer interaction, ensuring customers are kept up-to-date on the new vehicle transaction.

    The ideal candidate will follow-up with prospective customers at least once a week via telephone or email, visit prospective customers at least twice a month, and contact current customers at least once a month via telephone and follow-up with a visit once a month.

    Customer Retention and Growth Opportunities

    The successful candidate will ensure their database remains synchronized with the company database, using only EXCEL or as guided by the company, and update the Sales Manager and Sales Administrator at least once a month.

    Care for and grow your customer database by continually following-up and keeping customers informed of national and local market changes and events.

    Monitoring and Administration

    We require a Sales Executive who can ensure that all vehicles are invoiced timeously and support the process, ensure that vehicle payments debtors are kept within the terms and conditions of sale for timely submission for commission payouts, and ensure all cash sale transactions are paid in full.

    Take corrective action on out-of-line items.

    Customer Care

    The successful candidate will ensure high levels of customer interactions, ensure that feedback to the customer is relevant and correct, and continue to promote the company as a trustworthy and reliable brand.

    Transolve/HTM (Electronic Selling Tools)

    The ideal candidate will prepare and present each customer quotation to include a minimum of an electronic mass distribution drawing (side view), corporate quotations will include route simulations and any other information the customer may require for a complete understanding of the vehicle.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must have:

    • MATRIC CERTIFICATE OR HIGHER;
    • 5 YEARS OF NEW TRUCK SALES EXPERIENCE;
    • SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF TRUCKS AND INDUSTRY;
    • OWN DATABASE;
    • PROVEN RECORD OF SALES;
    • KNOWLEDGE OF ROAD TRAFFIC ACT AND REGULATIONS;
    • HTM/TRANSOLE EXPERIENCE;
    • ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND CPK AND CALCULATE IN VARIOUS APPLICATIONS;
    • KNOWLEDGE OF VEHICLE BODIES LEGAL AND CLIENT SPECIFICATIONS;
    • WILLINGNESS TO GROW AND SHARE KNOWLEDGE WITH THE TEAM;
    • PROFICIENT SKILLS IN MICROSOFT OFFICE;
    • INTEGRITY AND HONESTY;
    • ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE IN ENGLISH;
    • CODE 10 OR 14 DRIVER LICENSE IS ADVANTAGEOUS.

    Package & Remuneration

    R 15000 - R 20000 Monthly plus Commission + Travel Allowance + Medical Allowance + Provident Fund
