    Job Title: Professional Nurse – Theatre Scrub

    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Professional Nurse – Theatre Scrub to join our team at Mediclinic Winelands Orthopaedic Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Deliver high-quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
    • Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
    • Create a positive patient experience by providing a conducive environment.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
    • Foster a learning environment that builds staff competence.
    • Ensure proper utilization and management of stock and equipment.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (Essential).
    • Midwifery or postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty area (Desired).

    Key Skills and Knowledge:

    • Infection prevention and control.
    • Pharmacology knowledge.
    • Familiarity with scientific nursing principles and processes.
    • Nursing record-keeping proficiency.
    • Strong patient assessment skills.
    • Knowledge of nursing processes and procedures.
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
    • Ability to develop and modify nursing care plans.
    • Understanding of relevant nursing legislation.
    • Basic Life Support training (ACLS, ATLS, PALS for specialized wards).
    • Risk identification skills.
