    Description

    Manager Internal Audit Position

    We are seeking a highly skilled Manager Internal Audit professional to join our specialist financial products and service company for a 3-month contract.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Bachelor of Commerce Honours or equivalent in Commerce (i.e., Accounting or Internal Auditing) and post-graduate professional designation, such as Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor.
    • A minimum of three years' experience in financial services related internal audit and internal audit management.
    • Excellent communication skills and proven people management abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • AML experience is required.

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    1. Planning and Execution of Internal Audits:
      • Develop comprehensive risk-informed audit programmes to meet objectives.
      • Design and execute audit procedures in line with GIA Methodology and IPPF Standards.
      • Prepare written reports to communicate results.
      • Finalise internal audit files on TeamMate+ and release observations/findings.
    2. Building Relationships and Providing Expertise:
      • Build effective business relationships with internal stakeholders.
      • Provide authoritative expertise and advice in process design and improvement.
    3. Coaching and Representation:
      • Coach internal audit trainees and seniors.
      • Represent the team on project teams or steering committees as needed.
    4. Other Duties:
      • Perform other related duties as required.

    This position requires a strong understanding of internal audit principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
