    Costing Clerk (Service Team Leader)

    A detail-oriented and customer-focused Costing Clerk with dual responsibilities as a Service Team Leader is sought to join an Automotive Dealership in Newcastle, Northern KZN.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Costing Clerk Duties:

    • C Kosten repair orders accurately, ensuring all parts, labor, and additional expenses are properly accounted for.
    • Verify the accuracy of all repair orders and associated documentation.
    • Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure all costs are captured and correctly billed.
    • Manage warranty claims and ensure all documentation is complete and submitted timely.
    • Utilize dealership software for costing and tracking purposes.

    Service Team Leader Duties:

    • Lead and supervise the service team to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
    • Schedule and coordinate service appointments, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation.
    • Monitor the progress of service jobs and provide updates to customers as needed.
    • Assist in resolving customer complaints and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Implement and maintain service processes and standards to improve efficiency and customer service.

    Customer Service:

    • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing accurate information regarding service options, timelines, and costs.
    • Ensure a positive service experience by maintaining clear and professional communication with customers.

    Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of all costing activities, including repair orders, warranty claims, and customer interactions.
    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company policies and procedures.

    Sales and Upselling:

    • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and products to enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
    • Provide customers with detailed explanations of recommended services and associated benefits.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Costing Clerk in an automotive dealership environment.
    • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes.
    • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role is advantageous.
    • Computer literacy: Experience with dealership software is preferred.
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Newcastle residency required.
